In 2014 LSA Clubs established a minimum level of coaching education a coach must achieve in order to coach in the LCSL. As US Soccer updated their coaching education platforms and as LSA partnered with United Soccer Coaches to provide a second coaching education pathway for our coaches, these requirements have been updated.

earned the Coaching Education Minimum Standard as described herein.
305.2.2 This Coaching Education Minimum Standard shall be satisfied by successfully completing
305.2.2.1 at least 2 in-person US Soccer Grassroots Modules and 1 on-line US Soccer Grassroots Module. One of the in-person Grassroots Modules must be the 11 v. 11 Module.
305.2.2.2 at least the United Soccer Coaches combined 7 v. 7/9 v. 9 course and 11 v. 11 Pre-National course.
305.2.2.3 Some level of coaching licensure as may be determined, in the sole discretion of the LSA Coaching Education Manager, to be the equivalent of the US Soccer and United Soccer Coaches courses set forth above.
It is the responsibility of each Coach who wants to coach in the LCSL to seek out coaching education courses. It is the responsibility of each club to encourage all of their coaches, recreational and Classic alike, to seek coaching education and to ensure their LCSL coaches have achieved the minimum requirements in coaching education.

Enroll in the US Soccer Learning Center
US Soccer has established its Learning Center (“LC”). Formerly known as the Digital Coaching Center (“DCC”), the LCC has been expanded beyond just coaches to all aspects of the game. Before an individual is eligible to become a coach in the LCSL, he or she must first create a profile in the LC and download all of their coaching licenses and credentials. LSA uses the LC to monitor which coaches have or have not complied with the minimum coaching education requirements established LSA Policy 305.2 and to communicate with coaches directly. It is also in the LC that a coach or a referee can register for a course.
