ABOUT ODP
The Olympic Development Program (commonly referred to as “ODP”) is an identification system linked to the United States Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer. The program offers players a pathway to representing the South Region and U.S. Youth National Teams. Originally established in 1977, ODP was the first program in the country designed to identify potential youth national team players. While the core principals of identifying and developing talent for the national team have not changed over the years, ODP has evolved to also provide expanded opportunities for player exposure to college, semi-professional, and professional scouts.
ODP in Louisiana – LA Select
Louisiana Select is sanctioned as an Official U.S. Soccer Talent Development Program. The program, along with its regional and national partners, offers Louisiana players a pathway to representing the South Region and the United States (on US Youth National Teams + USYS ODP National Teams). Additionally, by playing with and against like-talented athletes at showcase and identification events, Louisiana Select offers the opportunity for players to advance in their personal development and to be scouted by college, semi-professional, and professional coaches.
