The Louisiana State Cup is part of the US Youth Soccer ("USYS") National Championship Series ("NCS"). The NCS is the country's most prestigious national youth soccer tournament, providing approximately 185,000 players on over 10,000 teams from USYS State Associations the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play. As a member of USYS, LSA sends its State Champions to the USYS Southern Regionals each June. The winner in each age/gender at the Southern Regionals compete in July for the USYS National Championships.
As part of the NCS, the Louisiana State Cup is bound by all Policies, Rules and Procedures established by USYS. Each team entering the Louisiana State Cup should become familiar with all of the Policies, Rules and Procedures as they affect critical issues such as player and team eligibility.
