SUMMARY:[ODP] Postponed - LA Select All-Star Mini-camp (2012-2008)
DESCRIPTION:2024/25 Louisiana Select (ODP) program – 13U-17U State Pool Minicamp (2012-2008s). \nBased on scouting and club recommendations\, Louisiana Select (LSA ODP) invites the top 13u-17u players to an LA Select State Pool All-Star Minicamp on Sunday\, February 16\, in Lafayette (9:00-11:00am + 1:00-3:00pm).  Players will train and play small-sided games in the morning before transitioning to full-sided matches in the afternoon – LA Select staff will use the minicamp to pick teams for the LA Select All-Star Games (Feb. 23) as well as to evaluate/ID players for additional USYS ODP regional ID events. \n Players invited into their age group State Pool are also eligible to be selected for the following invite-only events*: \n\nSouth Region Intra-Regional Combine (May 30-Jun 1 in TN)\nSouth Region Camp (Girls: Jul. 6-8; Boys: Jul. 9-11 in NC)\nLA Select Orlando City ID Camp (Jun/Jul TBD in LA)\nUSYS Interregional Event (Jan ’26 TBD in FL)\n\nLA Select ID Events require each player to purchase a RED and BLACK Louisiana Select kit from Third Coast Soccer (NOTE: goalkeepers purchase only the GREY jersey).  Once a player is registered via gotsoccer\, they will be assigned a number and added to the kit roster provided to Third Coast Soccer – you only need to include your player’s name when placing your order.  Note: roster addition isn’t instantaneous; roster numbers are updated once daily by office admin.  \nIf you have any questions\, please don’t hesitate to reach out. \n LA Select General Manager\, play.la.soccer@gmail.com \n* There are additional per player fees for the invite-only events\, normally paid directly to the hosting organization (eg\, TN Soccer and/or NC Soccer for events in their states).

DESCRIPTION:It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of longtime LSA administrator Valerie Clouatre. After starting her LSA career as an administrative assistant in 1999\, Valerie filled almost every role possible in the LSA office over the past 24 years\, serving most recently as our Technical Department Manager.\n\n\n\nValerie was a genuine person whose love for her family\, her friends and co-workers and her Louisiana soccer family was evident each day. Words cannot express how much we will miss Valerie and her commitment to LSA and the clubs that we partner with — rest assured\, Valerie was and will continue to be synonymous with Louisiana Soccer.\n\n\n\nPlease keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. Visitation (10am-1pm) and Mass of Christian Burial (1pm) will be on Thursday\, Jan. 4 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church\, 402 South Kirkland St.\, Brusly\, LA 70719.
