Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Technical Department Coordinator

The LSA Technical Department Coordinator (TDC) has the primary task of the management and direction of all events and programs related to the LSA Technical Department, the development of players across the state and the education and training of coaches. NOTE: This shall initially be a part-time position (25-30 hours/week), but may grow into a full-time position as programming grows. Essential Functions include, but shall not be limited to, the following:
Coaching Education
  • Work in collaboration with the LSA Director of Coaching Education in mmanaging an LSA Coaching Education Staff
  • Ensure that each coach on the Coaching Education Staff has the proper risk management clearance
  • Maintain in a current list of all registered and licensed coaches in Louisiana
  • Collaborate with the Director of Coaching Education and the Communications Manager to develop a Coaching Education marketing strategy
Olympic Development Program
  • Collaborate with the LSA Director of ODP in all matters relating to ODP
  • Manage in collaboration with the Technical Department Manager, the ODP Coaching Staff
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating ODP tryouts including the scheduling of coaches and evaluators
  • Develop ODP marketing strategies in collaboration with the LSA Director of ODP and the Communications Manager
  • Coordinate the ODP Invitation to Play and Scouting programs
  • Monitor ODP player demographics annually
  • Maintain a college placement process for ODP players in the older age groups
Louisiana Soccer Academy Program (“LSAP”)
  • Act as the LSAP Facilitator
  • Maintain communications with each LSAP Club.
  • Maintain LSAP contact list and schedule
  • Conduct periodic meeting to discuss LSAP issues and scheduling with all LSAP Academy Directors.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop marketing and promotional materials for the LSAP.
  • Collaborate with the State Competitions Manager in promoting the Bob Abbott Cup and organizing an LSAP Division in the tournament.
Technical Department Programs
  • Assist in the development, marketing and management of Technical Department programs
  • Help develop inner-city outreach programs in partnership with local schools, parks departments and other organizations.
  • Coordinate all efforts to market and grow TOPSoccer with the member of the Executive Committee tasked with TOPSoccer.
Administrative Duties
  • Cooperate with and assist in the administration of other LSA programs and events such as LCSL events and state tournaments when needed
  • Attend all appropriate national and regional meetings pertaining to coaching education and player development including but not limited to all US Soccer Coaching symposia and the United Soccer Coaches Convention
  • Manage all inventory of apparel, coaching materials and publications associated with Technical Department events and programs
  • Assist in developing an annual budget for each Technical Department program
  • Manage and report all Financial Aid granted to players and their families for participation in any LSA Technical Department program or event.
  • Submit a written report for each Executive Committee meeting.
  • When required, assist with the development of new affiliates. This includes speaking at affiliated meetings, new organizations, parent groups, schools, regional and national meetings.
  • Must possess a US Soccer C-License or United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma or higher
  • Must be highly organized and proficient in all Microsoft and Google apps
  • Skilled at developing and adhering to a budget
  • May coach at a high school, but is prohibited to coach at any LSA Club.
  • Past coaching experience including ODP
  • Works well in a collaborative setting
  • Demonstrates an understanding of LSA Mission Statement and Player Development philosophy
