Technical Development Academies ("TDAs") are a simple and fun off-season program designed to help players’ develop their technical skills in a fun and pressure-free environment. Kids are encouraged to try new things and to be creative. TDAs also serve to teach coaches how to teach technique. Coaches are encouraged to attend and will receive a copy of the weekly activities. Again, the environment for coaches is fun and informative.

Technical Development Academies are generally
One hour sessions for players born in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011
Held on the same day and at the same time in the evening each week. Example: 2010's and 2011's play from 6:00-7:00 and the 2008's and 2009's play from 7:00-8:00.
Sessions focus entirely on the development of a single technique (e.g. dribbling with laces).
TDA’s typically run 6 weeks over the winter.
Players are given technical activities they can use at home to practice.
Coaches are invited to attend and to participate. The session will be discussed with the coaches before and after each session.
The TDA written curriculum will be given to each coach as a resource to help focus practices on technical development.
Goalkeeping sessions can be included.
Again, the entire focus of the TDAs is the development of technical skills in the players as well as teaching coaches the importance of technical training at younger ages and giving them the tools to succeed.
