The Louisiana Olympic Development Program ("ODP") is designed to give the elite youth soccer player an opportunity to focus on his or her personal development as a player in a highly competitive soccer environment. ODP supports the club soccer experience, it does not replace it. However, unlike soccer at the club level, ODP does not focus on team success. It focuses entirely upon each individual player's performance and how we can help them improve in all aspects of the game.
The ODP experience includes training session based specifically on the written Region III ODP curriculum as well as sub-regional events like the North Texas Friendlies. ODP concludes with the Region III ODP Camps in Alabama in July. These camps are staffed with some of the finest college coaches in the Southeast and will see some of the best players from across Region III train and compete together. The Region III Camps are also used to identify the best players in the Region to compete on Regional Team, but its focus is, just like Louisiana ODP, on the development of each individual player. No other soccer camp can compare!
