LCSL Reschedule Process

LCSL 2018 NB
The LCSL has more than 1,200 games scheduled each year. More than one-half of these games are, for one reason or another, rescheduled. The LCSL Reschedule Process has been revamped to establish greater consistency and efficiency.  The new process is based upon a higher degree of cooperation and fairness by and between teams and a sense of progression to rescheduling games.

LCSL Rescheduling Process

To reschedule LCSL games, teams must follow the process below using the Field and Referee Assignor Contact List linked to the left and at the bottom of the page.

Step 1
Both teams communicate with each other and agree on new date and time.

Step 2     Field Assignor
The home team emails their club’s Field Assignor to find out whether a field is available on the new date and time. The email to the Field Assignor MUST indicate the 1) Game number, 2) Game Date, 3) Game Time, and 4) Field of the game needing to be rescheduled.

  • If there IS NOT a field available the teams return to Step 1 to agree on a different date and time.
  • If there IS a field available, the home team moves to Step 3.

Step 3     Referee Assignor
The home team forwards the email response from the Field Assignor to their club’s Referee Assignor to find out whether a referee crew is available on the agreed upon date and time. Again, the home team MUST indicate the 1) Game number, 2) Game Date, 3) Game Time, and 4) Field of the game needing to be rescheduled.

  • If there IS NOT a referee crew available, the teams return to Step 1 to agree on a different date and time.
  • If there IS a referee crew available, the home team moves to Step 4.

Step 4
The home team MUST forward the approved response from the Referee Assignor to the Field Assignor to ensure the Field Assignor is aware of the change.

Step 5
The home team's Team Manager or Coach MUST submit a Game Reschedule Form in GotSoccer to LSA, making sure to fill out each field accurately. To access the LCSL Game Reschedule Form

Step 6
The home team MUST notify the away team’s contact (Team Manager/Coach) that the Game Reschedule Form was submitted to LSA.

Note: Once the Referee Assignor and the Field Assignor have been notified of and agreed to the change in schedule, the original date, time and field shall be considered abandoned by the teams. The Field Assignor shall be free to schedule other games on the original field and the Referee Assignor shall be free to reassign your original referee crew to another game.  The game reschedule is not official until the game details have been changed in GotSoccer.
