The Louisiana Soccer Association (LSA) is again increasing its educational outreach through a partnership with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

The Louisiana Soccer Association is a non-profit organization that represents youth and adult soccer players, coaches and referees throughout the state. LSA consists of over 50 clubs and leagues that cover all ages of soccer development.

The LSA support includes player, coaching and referee development, as well as parental education. State Cup tournaments are held each year for both Adults and Youth, as well the US Youth Soccer Kohl's American Cup for youth recreational players. The LSA also runs the Olympic Development Program for the state and provides administrative assistance and support to its affiliated clubs.

Sean Esker, LSA President, “We are excited to partner our resources with the NSCAA to give our coaches and clubs the opportunity to grow and develop. It’s exciting to be able to offer this to our members.”

According to Mark Godwin, LSA Technical Director, “we are extremely excited to partner with an organization such as the NSCAA. Coaching Education is important for the continued growth of soccer in Louisiana, but it is also an ongoing process. You never stop learning in this game and being able to stay up-to-date with the modern day trends is very important. Partnering with the NSCAA will allow us to maintain the highest standards.”

“The NSCAA is happy to partner with Louisiana Soccer Association. Through this partnership, our combined membership will benefit from both local coaching education opportunities and an array of other coaching resources between the two organizations,” Ian Barker, NSCAA Director of Coaching Education, said.

Among the benefits the LSA will receive is access to the Online Resource Library, NSCAA courses, and other instructional material. Additionally, the LSA will offer NSCAA courses ranging from Level 1 through 6, Special Topics, Goalkeeping Level 1 through 3 and among others.
