LSA Technical Director
Full-Time Salaried Position 
 
The LSA Technical Director has the primary task of the development, management and operation of all events and programs related to the technical development of players across the state and the education and training of coaches. Essential Functions include, but shall not be limited to 
  • Coaching Education.   The Technical Director develops, markets and conducts courses and clinics to educate coaches at all levels of play across the state.
  • Technical Department Programs.  The LSA Technical Director shall be proactive and innovative in developing, marketing and conducting programs designed to increase the participation and technical development of youth players. 
  • Olympic Development Program.   The Technical Director shall manage all aspects of the Louisiana Olympic Development Program (“ODP”) and all other programs and events designed to give youth players pathways to playing the game at the collegiate level.
 
Basic Requirements:
  • Current US Soccer ‘A’ License
  • Current US Soccer ‘National Youth License’
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in coaching education and developing and implementing educational programs
  • Strong leadership, organizational, motivational, and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish goals and work diligently to achieve them.

LSA Administrative Assistant
Full-Time Salaried Position
Baton Rouge Office
 
The duties of the Administrative Assistant shall be as follows:
 
Communications
The Administrative Assistant shall assist in the maintenance of the LSA website, the publication of LSA e-Newsletters, maintaining the LSA Forms Library and the posting of announcements and achievements to social media.
 
Marketing
The Administrative Assistant shall develop marketing databases, assist in developing 5-year LSA marketing plan for soccer in Louisiana, act as LSA photographer and videographer as needed and act as liaison between LSA and all of our corporate partners.
 
Competitions Department
The Administrative Assistant shall Assist the Competitions Manager in processing player movement petitions, processing all misconduct, assist in the bracketing and scheduling process and the management of all state and club tournaments.
 
Technical Department
Assist the Technical Director and the Technical Department Program Manager with player movement petitions and with managinging coach licensure requirements.
 
Referee Coordinator
The Administrative Assistant shall act as liaison between LSA, the SRC and all referees and assignors statewide.
 
Office Functions
Perform office-related administrative tasks such as coordinating staff travel and event planning for LSA AGM and Mid-Year Meeting.
 
Basic Requirements
  • Educational or employment background in sports management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks at the same time 
  • Design and marketing experience
  • Website management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
