Youth Tournaments
State Approved Tournaments
There are many opportunities for Youth teams to participate in tournaments and jamborees throughout our state. You can rumble at the Red Stick, Sweep the Swamp, or just chill at the Big Easy. To see the tournaments hosted by our local clubs please go to our State Approved Tournaments. Tournaments are classified by age and playing level (i.e. Recreational, Division 1 or Premier). Some Tournaments offer Jamborees for players who are below the U10 age group. Competitive Tournaments are limited to U10 and above.

The state also sponsors annual tournaments for each playing level.
Recreational State Tournament - Kohl's American Cup
Recreational Players are encouraged to take part in the Kohl's American Cup. This low cost tournament or tournaments are held annually at location(s)
throughout the state. They are fun weekends of jamborees and competition for teams U7 through U14. For more information on this national program sponsored by Kohl's and US Youth Soccer click here. Division 1 State Tournament - AllState Sugar Bowl
The AllState Sugar Bowl is the proud sponsor of our annual Division 1 tournament. This tournament is the state competition for teams hoping to compete in the Presidents Cup at the regional and national level.
The AllState Sugar Bowl is open to all Division 1 teams throughout the state. Teams must apply for the tournament by the annual deadline of March 15. All applications and payments must be submitted to your club. The club then makes the final application and payment to the state on or by the March 15 deadline.
This tournament is a blind draw. The draw date is chosen by the Division 1 committee. The Draw meeting for 2011 is Sunday, March 27, 1 pm
at the LSA Office in Baton Rouge.
State Champions U13 through U17 are invited to participate
in the US Youth Soccer Region III Presidents Cup. If they decline the invitation will go to the state finalist in order of finish. The 2011 Region III Presidents Cup will be held in Decatur, AL on June 9 through 12. Click here for more information on this event. LSA pays for the entry fee into this event.
Regional Presidents Cup winners are invited
to the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup. This year's event will be held July 7 - 10 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Premier State Tournament - Louisiana State Cup
The Louisiana State Cup is a part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. This prestigious event is the culmination of a year of competition on the part of over 10,000 teams who participate in the State and Regional Premier leagues and teams who participate in the US Youth Soccer National League.
The US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships is the next competition in the National Championship Serires. The winners of the US Youth Soccer Region III State and Regional Premier Leagues are eligible for this event. Each year 184 teams aged U14 through U19 meet in June for a week long competition which includes a weekend round robin, quarterfinals, semi-finals and final games. The 2011 Event will be held June 16-22, 2011 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The winners of the four regional events plus the National League Champions are the final 60 teams who will compete for the US Youth Soccer National Title every July. This July the event will be held in July 26 through 31 in Phoenix, AZ.
