Veteran's Cup 
The excitement is brewing about the Veteran’s Cup soccer tournament under the lights this year in Florida! Sign up your team today for early bird registration and join teams from all over the world in this year’s biggest and most competitive adult tournament sponsored by the United States Adult Soccer Association.
Last year we had over 100 teams and this year we are set to grow even bigger (see current teams signed up at the end of note), with more international teams and more amenities like night games, onsite beer garden, massage therapists, and the best celebration event yet. (Stay tuned to February newsletter for announcements on this party you won’t want to miss.)
What: Veteran’s Cup Soccer Tournament, July 5th-10th, 2011 (If you are in an over 30 league, your dates will be the 7th-10th but you would want to arrive on the 6th and be ready to play on the 7th.)
Age Brackets: Men’s And Women’s Divisions, Over 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65. Eligibility age examples: If you are going to turn 30 in 2011, you are eligible to play, even if you are 29 still in July. If you are 54 and going to turn 55 in December, you would be eligible for to play for the over 55 age group.
Location: Sandford, Florida – about 20 minutes from Orlando at the Seminole Soccer Complex , and Sylvan Lake Park, the training home of the 1996 United States Women's Gold Medal Olympic Soccer Team.

Visit the Veteran’s Cup Registration site for additional details and or go directly to the online registration and payment center. Sign up for an early bird team fee of only $350. That is less than $20 bucks per player. You can’t beat that!
What about the weather?
We are scheduling games in the early morning and evening under the lights to help accommodate any weather concerns. The average low temperature is 73 degrees and the high is 92. We will have plenty of water, shade, and support to make sure you are at your best. In addition, we will make last minute changes based on weather so we will make sure that we are playing at the best times of day. During your downtime you can go back to your room between games and relax in the pool or in your room.

Tip of the month:
Teams located in the Northeast may want to consider driving to Lorton, VA and taking their cars or vans with them on the auto train as an option for transportation to and from the tournament while in Florida. The auto train disembarks in Sanford. See link for more details.
