Pete Didier

Administrator of the Year
Pete Didier, Covington Youth Soccer Association

When it comes to soccer here in Louisiana there aren’t too many people who haven’t heard of this person. He has refereed for many years. Run a Club for many years. Attended State Soccer meetings for many years and been very much a vocal part of those meetings. Has hosted a very successful Kohl’s American Cup and was the local organizer for that event. There is so much more that this person has done to help maintain the standard and growth of soccer in his community.

Coach of the Year Recreational Boys
Grant Eloi, Crossroads Soccer Association

The boys recreational coach of the year coachs for the Crossroads Soccer Association as well as the Boys at Pineville High School. He was part of a the coaching core of the Rapides and Pineville Soccer Association before it’s merger with Crossroads in 2010. He is dedicated to his players development no matter what the age and abilities and believes that soccer is a sport for all. This coach has continued to believe and instill this attitude in all the players that he coaches at the recreational level.

Grant Eloi

Coach of the Year Recreational Girls
David WIlber, Beauregard United Soccer Association

He has had great success with the DeRidder High School Boys Soccer Program and was instrumental in starting the Beauregard United Soccer Program from the grassroots on up. He has dedicated so much of his time to insure the continued growth of soccer in his area and has had fun working with all his teams at the club. Having coached the High School Boys for so many years he was able to make the transition to coaching girls recreational soccer and continued with his values to maintain player development at all levels.
Juan Planells

Coach of the Year Competitive Boys -
Juan Planells, Chicago Fire Juniors of Louisiana

Juan is dedicated to developing his players and always made sure that whoever he was coaching was always competing for everything with a high work rate. He has gone onto to be successful with State Cup winning teams and able to challenge against the top teams from around the region as well as the rest of the United States.

Grace Nader

TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year
Grace Nader, Mandeville Soccer Club

Our TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year is currently a senior at St. Scholastica Academy in Covington. She has been involved with Mandeville’s TOPSoccer program for the past 2 years and always shows up enthusiastically to each practice and has often brought along her friends to help as well. She easily carries on conversations with the adult volunteers as well as the special needs players. She clearly epitomizes the values of the TOPSoccer Program – developing and improving soccer skills and wellness while socializing and sharing friendships with special needs children.

Volunteer of the Year -Janice Camel, LYSA - Cajun Soccer Club

Janice has served in so many capacities for her Club and State Association. She has always been positive and forward thinking in everything to do with soccer and although she manages her own company she always has time for soccer as a volunteer, a parent, an administrator, a committee representative, the list could go on and on. She has always made herself available to open the gates to the park for an early start to an ODP tryout or training day. She is herself a former ODP player. She has already done so much to promote youth soccer and has also survived a week in the “so called” HAUNTED DORMS at Montevallo, Alabama. A true soccer person who lives and breathes the game.
